There are two different white grape varieties that bear this name:

1) Also known as Ray´s Victoria, open flowered white derivative (see under O.P.) of the American red variety Concord (Vitis labrusca). It was selected by a private breeder, M.M. Samuel in 1872.

2) New cross-bred variety from Roumania, created from Cardinal x Afus Ali (Regina). Synonyms are Hibridul 2-13-8, Victoria Blanc and Vittoria. The crossing was created in 1964. It has very large berries and bunches, and is planted all over Europe, particularly in Greece and Italy, as a table grape.
