Spain
La RiojaThe estate is located close to the commune of Laserna in the Rioja sub-region of Rioja Alavesa in Spain. The roots of this old estate are said to go back a thousand years. In its present form, it was founded in 1974 by the Real de Asúa family, which also owns the CVNE (Compañia VinÃcola del Norte de España) estate. The vineyard area totals 62 hectares, located on the banks of the Ebro river. The wines are matured in a total of more than 1.800 barriques, in an old vaulted cellar dating back to the 15th century. The flagship is the vineyard-specific wine „Viña del Olivo”, which is matured in barriques for two years. Annual production is around 30.000 cases of wine.
