D.O. ca RiojaThis co-operative is located in the commune of Aldeanueva de Ebro in the Rioja Baja sub-region in Rioja in Spain. It was founded in 1956. The vineyard area controlled by members totals some 2.600 hectares, located on the Yerga mountain. The classic Rioja varieties are planted: Graciano, Garnacha Tinta, Mazuelo and Tempranillo. On averag, some 18 million kilogrammes of grapes are processed each year to produce red, white and rosé Rioja wines under the „Azabache” brand. 16.000 barriques are available for maturation. Around a third of the production is exported.
