The ā€žBodegas Primiciaā€ estate is located in Laguardia in the Rioja Alavesa sub-region in Rioja in Spain. It was founded by JuliĆ”n Madrid. Today it is owned by the families of the sons of the founders, Madrid CastaƱeda. A new cellar was built outside the town limits in 1985. The vineyard area totals 45 hectares, these are planted mainly with the classical red Rioja varieties Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Graciano, as well as with Cabernet Sauvignon. 5.500 barriques of mainly French oak are available for maturation. Wine brands produced include Curium, Diezmo, JuliĆ”n Madrid and ViƱa Carravalseca (single vineyard). Around 60% of production is exported.

The vintage 2008
Unfortunately, no wines have been submitted for several years now, so that we are unable to form a meaningful opinion on the current performance of this producer. For this reason, we see no option but to suspend the classification until further notice.
