Castilla-La Mancha

One of the two first single vineyard sites to be classified as Vino de Pago, which has been the highest quality classification level in Spain since 2003. It is located in the La Manche wine-growing region in Castilia, in the Sierra de Alacaraz close to the town of El Bonillo. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 1.000 above sea level, and enjoy a very specific microclimate. The site is owned exclusively by the „Bodegas Manuel Manzaneque“ estate. The owner is a well-known former actor and theatre director, who purchased the estate with the proceeds of the sale of his theatre in Madrid. It has a total vineyard area of 40 hectares, and is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Syrah and Tempranillo.
