The 鈥濨odegas Bret贸n Criadores鈥� estate is located ten kilometres from Logro帽o in the Rioja Alta sub-region in Rioja in Spain. It was founded in 1983 by a group of wine growers and businessmen under the leadership of building contractor Pedro Bret贸n. The vineyard area totals 106 hectares. 6.000 barriques of predominantly American oak, with some French oak, are available in the cellar for maturation. Brands produced include 鈥濧lba de Bret贸n鈥� (100% Tempranillo), the single vineyard wine 鈥濪ominio de Cont茅鈥� (Tempranillo, Graciano), the red 鈥濴ori帽on鈥� (85% Tempranillo, Garnacha Tinta, Graciano, Mazuelo), the white 鈥濴ori帽on鈥� (100% Viura) and the single vineyard wine鈥濸agos del Camino鈥� (100% Garnacha Tinta). Around 50% of the total production is exported.

Unfortunately, no wines have been submitted for tasting for several years now, so that we are unable to form a meaningful opinion on the current performance of this producer. For this reason, we see no option but to suspend the classification until further notice.
