The wines of two rising stars were served at this year's Whitsun festival in Salzburg/Austria.

In previous years, wines from known top-rated Austrian wine producers were always selected for the annual festival edition served at this cultural event in Salzburg. 2008 saw a change - the attention of festival visitors was drawn to two of the hot favourites in the rising star category. The wines served were the Grüne Veltliner Spitzer Point Federspiel 2007 from Johann Donabaum and a Blaufränkisch Eisenberg 2006 from Uwe Schiefer. Both wines are available for sale in the festival shop, in the offices of the friends and sponsors, and in vinotheques as well as in fine food outlets. (WF)
