The 12th international Gutedelcup (Chasselas) saw wines from the Markgräflerland district in Baden take the honours.
Each year, the Markgräfler Wein e.V. association stages the International Gutedelcup to determine the best wines in four categories. The winners for 2008 are: in the category "Quality wine dry Markgräflerland" the Schindler estate in Müllheim with a 2007 Badenweiler Römerberg and in the category "Kabinett dry" the Julius Zotz estate in Heitersheim with a 2007 Heitersheimer Maltesergarten. The Auggen cooperative took the first place in the category "sweet botrytis wines" with a 2005 Auggener Schäf Eiswein, and in the category "Quality wine dry international, finale of all competitors" the winner was the Feuerstein estate in Heitersheim with a 2007 Heitersheimer Maltesergarten.
