Vienna will host the 3rd European Wine Bloggers Conference (EWBC) from 22 to 24 October 2010. It is the first time this event will take place outside the Iberian peninsula.

150 to 200 international wine bloggers - wine journalists who write primarily on the Internet and in their personal wine blogs - are expected to attend, with organizers still working hard at the details of the programme, which covers several days. In the past two years, the conference took place in Barcelona and Lisbon respectively.

It is mainly through the efforts of the Austrian wine marketing board, which is also the main sponsor, that this internationally recognized conference could be brought to Vienna. "Once more, we have proved the dynamics of our wine country", says Willi Klinger, head of the Board, pleased to see the conference in his own country. (WF/press release)
