The Mosel-Saar-Ruwer Wein and Ruwer Riesling associations are organising the Forum Wine & Health, to be held in Mertesdorf, close to Trier, on the 26th of February. The overall heading is: Healthy enjoyment with wine - opportunities in the prevention of heart attacks, senile dementia and cancer.

Topics of the forum include the optimal daily dose of wine, as well as the question whether red wine is healthier than white wine. Professor Bernd Krönig, chairman of the forum, will be presenting a lecture on the connection between wine consumption and its use in the prevention of heart attacks, senile dementia or cancer.
