Max Raabe receives award for enjoying life

German singer Max Raabe has been awarded the Champagne Prize for Joie de Vivre.
The Champagne Prize for Joie de Vivre, sponsored by the association of Champagne houses and champagne producers, the Comité Champagne in Épernay, has been awarded for the twelfth time to a person that, in the opinion of the jury, has been particularly effective in projecting the enjoyment of life in Germany.
Max Raabe is celebrated on the concert stages of Paris, New York, Shanghai, Tokio, Rome and Amsterdam, both for his work with the Palast Orchestra and with his solo pianist Christoph Israel. Today, a day after being awarded this prize, Max Raabe flies off to Los Angeles to start a 4-week USA tour with the Palast Orchestra. The award was presented at the Hotel Louis C. Jacob in Hamburg statt.
The Champagne Prize for Joie de Vivre entails a selection of exquisite champagnes, as well as an invitation to the manor houses and castles of Champagne. (WF/press release)
