Internet supposedly not important
Readers letter (so far 0)
The head of the Vinexpo wine trade fair has expressed the opinion that Internet wine sales are not particularly important.
At the conclusion of the Vinexpo wine trade fair in Bordeaux, the head of the organisation, Robert Beynat, expressed his personal opinion on the future of wine trade on the Internet. According to Beynat, this sector will always remain marginal, and will never account for more than around eight per cent of the total market.
Around 45.000 visitors registered to attend Vinexpo, the most important wine trade fair in the worl, this year, around ten per cent less than in 2007. (WF)
