Château Latour in Bordeaux may be up for sale. Corresponding rumours were reported today by the Sunday Times in London.

According to the report, the current owner of Latour, François Pinault, plans to sell the estate. According to the Sunday Times, a French banking house has offered the chateau, which is classified as a First Growth, to several potential investors under the utmost secrecy and discretion. So far, the articel has not been officially confirmed nor denied. Frenhcman Pinault acquired Latour in 1993. One of the possible interested parties currently being named is Bernard Magrez, owner of Château Pape-Clément, and a possible price is pegged at the 150 to 200 million Euro level. (WF)
