Festival celebrates tenth anniversary

Readers letter (so far 0)

The Franciacorta Festival is celebrating its tenth anniversary with some big events, and twice the floor space.

The festival, which is organised by the Consorzio per la tutela del Franciacorta, takes place from the 19th to the 21st of September 2009. This year sees the celebration of the tenth anniversary - and for this reason the Consorzio has decided to further increase the scope of the festival. The Villa Lechi, which is the traditional venue of the festival, is joined this year by the Casa Marchetti.

Participating in the festival will be 62 wineries (+ 15 per cent compared to 2008), who will be offering more than 120 Franciacorta wines for tasting during the three days of the festival. For additional information go to www.festivalfranciacorta.it (WF/press release)
