German TV presenter Günther Jauch is to go into winemaking: he is taking over the von Othegraven estate in Kanzem on the Saar river.

Günther Jauch will be taking over the estate from the previous owner, Dr. Heidi Kegel, sometime in 2010. Günther Jauch, journalist and presenter of "Who wants to be a millionaire?" is a grandchild of Elsa von Othegraven, and is also related to Heidi Kegel, who took over the business in 1995, after the death of her aunt Maria von Othegraven. Jauch has already been accepted as a member of the Verband der Prädikatsweingüter (VDP)/Grosser Ring association.

Rumours of a change in ownership first surfaced a few weeks ago, but they were only confirmed now. (WF)
