The owner of the second growth Bordeaux estate Cos d'Estournel has bought Chateau Montelena in California.

Cos-Besitzer Michel Reybier, the owner of Cos, has acquired the traditional American estate for an estimated 110 million US dollars, according to various media reports as well as the Weinreporter. Chateau Montelena was founded in 1882, and is one of the most historic estates in the USA. The estate has been experiencing an upturn in recent decades. (WF)
