Association changes name, keeps president

Readers letter (so far 0)

The Mosel-Saar-Ruwer-Wein e.V. association is changing its name to Mosel-Wein e.V., thus following the general change in the name of the wine-growing region that comes into force on 1.8.2007. Adolf Schmitt remains the president of the association for a further two years.

The name of the association was brought into line with the legal change of the wine-growing region, from Mosel-Saar-Ruwer to Mosel, that takes effect on 1st August 2007. However, rerpesentatives from the Saar district voted against the change. Adolf Schmitt, wine producer from Konz, will continue in his position as president for another two years. The Mosel-Wein e.V. association, as it will come to be known, will continue to assist in the marketing of all wines from the Mosel, Saar and Ruwer regions.
