Selecting a queen
19.08.2010
Training camp for regional wine queens

Readers letter (so far 0)

In the run-up to the election of the 62nd German wine queen, the German Wine Institute invited the candidates to a three-day preparatory seminar held in Neustadt an der Weinstraße.

Each of the 13 winegrowing regions in Germany sends its regional wine queen to the national competition as a candidate. A central component of the seminar was training in rhetoric and camera work including a photo shooting and styling advice. In the picture are (front row, from the left) links: Carolin Spyra (Nahe), Melanie Unsleber (Franken), Gabi Emmerich (Mittelrhein), Sina Listmann (Rheinhessen), Mandy Großgarten (Ahr) and Gabi Klein (Pfalz), in the second row, from left: Annika Büchler (Hessische Bergstraße), Katharina Okfen (Mosel), Katja Bohnert (Baden), Annegret Föllner (Saxony), Elvira Zahn (Saale-Unstrut), Julian Nägele (Württemberg) and Sarah Alt (Rheingau).

The preliminary round leading to the selection of the Germany Wine Queen takes place on the 2nd of October 2010, the finale on the 6th of October. (WF/press release/photo DWI, copyright DWI)
