A record price has been paid on auction in Canada for a small barrel of domestic red wine - almost 20.000 CAN$.
At a charity auction in Canada, 19.000 CAN$ (around 12.000 EUR) was paid for a barrique of 2007 Nota Bene produced by the Black Hills Estate Winery. The Weinreporter has calculated this works out at a price of around 40 dollars per bottle, a record for Canadian wine on auction. Nota bene is a red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. (WF)
