Large-scale demonstrations planned

Extensive protests against the politics of the French government are planned for the 30th of October. Wine producers want to protest mainly against the proposed restrictions on advertising.

The Association Générale de la Producton Viticole has called its members to protest nationwide on 30th October, if the government has not by then agreed to serious high level talks. Wine producers want to mobilise opinion against the increasingly restrictive guidelines on alcohol advertising, and want to achieve some last-minute changes. (WF)
