Majority shareholding in Avignonesi sold

The majority shareholding in the Italian wine company Avignonesi has been sold to a Belgian businesswoman.
The Avignonesi estate, famer its Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, was sold to Belgian businesswoman Virginie Saverys for an undisclosed sum. The previous owners, the Falvo family, retains a minority shareholding, and will continue to be responsible for winemaking and for the operation of the business. (WF)
