Château Carbonnieux yesterday commenced its 2008 harvest, the first of the leading estates in Bordeaux to do so.
As reported in the Bordeaux Blogg, Château Carbonnieux in Pessac-Léognan has begun its harvest for the 2008 vintage - the first Cru Classé in the region to do so. This represents a delay of nine days compared to the 2007 vintage. The initial picking efforts are concentrated on the Sauvignon Blanc grapes, the red grapes are due to hang for another four weeks or so. (WF)
