The best Pinot noir of the world has been chosen
Readers letter (so far 0)
The world best Pinot noir comes not from Germany or France, but from California. The 2001 Pinot noir Avant Garde of the Californian estate Domaine Carneros came out on top against 263 rivals at a tasting organized by the Wine International magazine in London. Many Grande-Nation winemakers' sadness caused by the fact that famous French Burgundy wines had to leave the victory to their colleagues from overseas could be alleviated, though. The Loire champagne cellar Bouvet-Ladubay has a share in the Domaine Carneros estate. Source: press release Bouvet-Ladubay
