Top wines in Domain Vignanello DOC
DOC for red, rosé and white wines in the wine-growing region of Latium in Italy. The zone includes the communes of Bassano in Teverina, Corchano, Fabricia di Roma, Gallese, Soriano nel Cimino, Vasanello as well as Vignanello, from which the name is taken, in the province of Viterbo. The Greco is made in Secco and Abboccato versions, and must contain a minimum of 85% of this variety, the remaining 15% may be made up of other permitted white varieties. A Spumante is also produced. The Bianco is a blend made from Trebbiano Giallo and/or Trebbiano Toscano (60-70%), Malvasia del Chianti and Malvasia Bianca di Candia (20-40%), as well as optionally from other permitted white varieties (up to 10%). It is available in Secco and Abboccato versions, i fit has a minimum alcohol content of 11,5% vol it may be called Superiore. Rosso, Novello and Rosato are dry blends made from Sangiovese (40-60%), Ciliegiolo (40-50%), as well as optionally from other permitted red vareities (up to 20%). If it is matured for a minimum of two years and has a minimum alcohol content of 12% vol, the Rosso may be called a Riserva.
