Top wines in Domain Vicenza DOC
DOC for a wide range of red, rosé and white wines in the wine-growing region of Veneto in Italy. The zone includes around 85 communes in the entire province of Vicenza. Varietal-labelled wines must contain a minimum of 85% of the stated variety, the balance may be made up of other permitted varieties of the same colour. The varietal wines are Cabernet (Cabernet Franc and/or Cabernet Sauvignon), Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Garganego (from Garganega), Manzoni Bianco, Merlot, Moscato (Moscato Bianco and/or Moscato Giallo), Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Nero, Raboso, Riesling (Riesling Italico and/or Riesling Renano) and Sauvignon (Sauvignon Blanc). The Bianco (alaso available as a Frizzante, Spumante and Passito) is made from Garganega (50-100%), as well as from any combination of Chardonnay, Manzoni Bianco, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Riesling Italico, Riesling Renano and Sauvignon Blanc (up to 50%). Rosso (also made as a Novello) and Rosato are made from Merlot (50-100%), as well as from any combination of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, Pinot Nero and Raboso Veronese (up to 50%). Almost all of these wines are made in a dry (secco) version. Many are also made as Spumantes in Extra Brut, Brut, Extra Dry, Dry and Demi-Sec versions, and some are also made as Frizzantes. Some of the red wines are also available as Riservas, with longer maturation before release.
