Top wines in Domain Val Polcèvera DOC
DOC for red, rosé and white wines in the wine-growing region of Liguria in Italy. The zone includes the communes of Campomorone, Ceranesi, Genua, Mele, Mignangeo, Sant´Olcesa and Serra Riccò on the banks of the Polcèvera river, from which the name is taken, and its tributaries, in the province of Genoa. The varietal-labelled white wines Bianchetta Genovese and Vermentino must contain a minimum of 85% of the stated variety, the remaining 15% may be made up of other permitted white varieties. The Bianco is a blend made up of any combination of Vermentino, Bianchetta Genovese and Albarola (60-100%), as well as optionally from Pigato and/or Rollo and/or Bosco (up to 40%). All white wines are also made in Passito and Spumante versions. White wines sourced from the Coronata sub-zone located within the city limits of Genoa may state the sub-zone on the label. Rosso (also made in Frizzante and Novello versions) and Rosato (also made as a Frizzante) are blends made from any combination of Dolcetto and/or Sangiovese and/or Ciliegiolo (60-100%), as well as optionally from Barbera (up to 40%).
