DOC for white wines in the Emilia-Romagna wine-growing region in Italy. This is a large zone, including an extensive area in the provinces of Bologna, Forlì-Cesena, Ravenna and Rimini, with a total of 54 communes. The wine is made from Trebbiano Romagnolo (85-100%), as well as optionally from other permitted white varieties (up to 15%). It is also made as a Frizzante (in a secco version) and as a Spumante (in secco, amabile and dolce versions). The main grape variety used, Trebbiano Romagnolo, is a variant of Trebbiano.
