The Bianco is a blend made from any one or more of the varieties Catarratto Bianco Lucido, Chardonnay, Grecanico and Inzolia (70-100%), as well as optionally from other permitted white varieties (up to 30%). The Riserva Rayana is made exclusively in the sub-zone of Rayana (located within the communal area of Sciacca) from Catarratto Bianco Lucido and/or Inzolia (80-100%), and optionally from other permitted white varieties (up to 20%). The regulations prescribe that the wine must be matured for two years before being sold, of which one year must be in oak barrels.
