Calabria

DOC for dry red, rosé and white wines in the wine-growing region of Calabria in Italy. The zone includes parts of the communes of Falerna and Nocera Terinese in the Scavigna region, from which the name is taken, in the province of Catanzaro. The Bianco is a blend made from Trebbiano Toscano (up to 50%), Chardonnay (up to 30%), Greco Bianco (up to 20%), Malvasia Bianca (up to 10%) and optionally from other permitted white varieties (up to 35%). Rosso and Rosato are blends made from Gaglioppo (up to 60%), Nerello Cappuccio (up to 40%), Aglianico (up to 20%), as well as optionally from other permitted red varieties (up to 40%).
