Top wines in Domain Sardegna Semidano DOC

DOC for white wines on the island of Sardinia off the coast of Italy. The zone includes the entire provinces of Cagliari (109 communes), Nuoro (97), Oristano (78) and Sassari (88). The wines are made from the Semidano (85-100%) grape, from which the name i staken, as well as optionally from other permitted white varieties. There is a dry standard version, which may be called Superiore if it has a minimum alcohol content of 13% vol. If the wine is sourced from the commune of Mogoro, or from eight communes in the province of Oristano, or from the communes of Collinas, Sardara and Villanovaforru in the province of Cagliari, the name Mogoro may be stated on the label. There is also a Spumante version, made in Secco, Amabile and Dolce styles, as well as a sweet passito with an alcohol content of 15% vol.
