Top wines in Domain Sannio DOC
DOC for a wide range of red, rosé and white wines in the wine-growing region of Campania in Italy. The large zone includes the entire province of Benevento with around 80 communes. The Bianco is made from Trebbiano Toscano (50-100%), as well as optionally from other permitted white varieties (up to 50%). Rosso (also made as a Novello) and Rosato are made from Sangiovese (50-100%), as well as optionally from other permitted red varieties (up to 50%). Varietal-labelled wines must contain a minimum of 85% of the stated variety, the remainder may be made up of other permitted varieties of the same colour. The Spumante Metodo Classico is made from any combination of Aglianico, Greco and Falanghina. The varietal wines are Aglianico, Barbera, Coda di Volpe, Piedirosso, Falanghina, Fiano, Greco, Moscato and Sciascinoso. Some of these wines are also available in Passito, Frizzante and Spumante versions. All these wines are made at least in a dry (secco) version, some are also available in off-dry (amabile) and sweet (dolce) versions.
