DOC for red wine in the wine-growing region of Piemont in Italy. The vineyard area totals 15 hectares, the zone includes the communes of Castagnole Monferrato, Grana, Montemagno, Portacomaro, Refrancore, Scurzolengo and Viarigi in the province of Asti. The wine is produced in secco and amabile versions, and is made from Ruché (90-100%), as well as optionally from Barbera and/or Brachetto (up to 10%).
