Rosso Canosa DOC

DOC for dry red wine in the wine-growing region of Apulia in Italy. The zone includes the commune of Canosa di Puglia, from which it takes the name, in the province of Bari. The wine is made from Uva di Troia (65-100%), Montepulciano and/or Sangiovese (35-100%, of which Sangiovese max. 15%), as well as optionally from other permitted red varieties (up to 5%). If it is matured for two years and has an alcohol content of 13% vol it may be called a Riserva. The wine is very similar to that of the DOC Rosso Barletta.
