Top wines in Domain Piemonte DOC

DOC for a wide range of red and white wines in the Piemont region in Italy. The zone has a total vineyard area of 2.300 hectares, and includes 139 communes in the province of Alessandria, 118 communes in the province of Asti and 91 communes in the province of Cuneo. Varietal-labelled wines must contain a minimum of 85% of the stated variety, the balance of 15% may be made up of other permitted varieties of the same colour. They are mainly made in a secco style, and include Barbera, Bonarda, Brachetto, Chardonnay, Cortese, Grignolino, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio and Pinot Nero.There are also Novello, Frizzante and Spumante versions of some of these wines. The sweet Moscato (also made as a Frizzante and Passito) is made from 100% Moscato Bianco. The Spumante is a blend of Chardonnay and/or Pinot Bianco and/or Pinot Grigio and/or Pinot Nero.
