Top wines in Domain Penisola Sorrentina DOC
DOC for red and white wine in the Campania wine-growing region in Italy. The zone includes the communes of Agevola, Casola di Napoli, Gragnano, Lettere, Massa Lubrense, Meta, Piano di Sorrento, Pimonte, Sant´Agnello, Sorrento and Vico Equense on the Sorrento peninsula, which is part of the province of Naples. The dry Bianco is made from Falanghina (40-100%), Biancolella and/or Greco Bianco (20-60%), as well as optionally from other permitted white varieties (up to 40%). The dry Rosso is made from Piedirosso (40-100%), Sciascinoso and/or Aglianico (20-60%), as well as optionally from other permitted red varieties (up to 40%). The same grapes are used to make a Rosso Frizzante Naturale in Secco and Amabile versions. In the case of the Frizzante, the sub-zones Gragnano or Lettere, in the case of the Bianco and Rosso the sub-zone Sorrento may also be stated on the label (for example Penisola Sorrentina Sorrento Rosso). In this case they must have a minimum alcohol content that is 1% higher than that of the standard wines.
