Tuscany

DOC for dry red, rosé and white wines in the extreme south of the Maremma region in the wine-growing region of Tuscany in Italy. The zone includes a part of the commune of Orbetello, with its suburb of La Parrina, from which the name is taken, in the province of Grosseto. The Bianco is a blend made from Procanico = Trebbiano Toscano (30-50%), Chardonnay and Ansonica (30-50%), as well as optionally from other permitted white varieties (up to 20%). Rosso (also made as a Riserva) and Rosato are made from Sangiovese (70-100%), as well as optionally from other permitted red varieties (up to 30%).
