Top wines in Domain Orcia DOC

DOC for red and white wine in the wine-growing region of Tuscany in Italy. The zone includes parts of the communes of Abbadia San Salvatore, Buonconvento, Castiglione d´Orcia, Chianciano Terme, Montalcino, Pienza, Radicofani, San Giovanni d´Asso, San Casciano dei Bagni, San Quirico d´Orcia, Sartiano, Torrita di Siena and Trequanda, which lie along the Orcia river, from which the name is taken in the province of Siena. The Bianco is made from Trebbiano Toscano (50-100%) as well as optionally from other permitted white varieties (up to 50%). The Rosso (also made as a Novello) is made from Sangiovese (60-100)%) and optionally from other permitted red varieties (up to 40%). The sweet white Vin Santo has an alcohol content of 16% vol, and is made from dried grapes of Trebbiano Toscano and/or Malvasia Bianca Lunga (50-100%), as well as optionally from other permitted white varieties (up to 50%).
