Marches

DOC for red and white wines in the Marches wine-growing region in Italy. The zone includes 3 communes in the province of Ancona and 21 communes (including Offida, from which the name is taken) in the province of Ascoli Piceno. The two white wines Passerina (also made in Passito, Spumante and Vin Santo versions) and Pecorino are made from a minimum of 85% of the stated variety, the remaining 15% may be made up of other permitted white varieties. The Rosso is made from Montepulciano (50-100%), Cabernet Sauvignon (30-100%), as well as optionally from other permitted red varieties (up to 20%).
