DOC for semi-sweet white wines on the island of Sardinia off the coast of Italy. The zone includes the entire province of Cagliari as well as parts of the provinces of Oristano and Nuoro, with a total of almost 200 communes. The Amabile is made from the Nuragus grape, from which it takes the name (85-100%), as well as optionally from other permitted white varieties (up to 15%). A Frizzante Amabile is also produced.
