DOC for white wines on the island of Sardinia off the coast of Italy. The zone includes 109 communes in the province of Cagliari and 78 communes in the province of Oristano. The wines are pure varietal wines made from the Nasco grape, from which the name is derived. The standard version is sweet, although there is also a dry secco version (sometimes also labelled Dry). Liquoroso and Liquoroso Secco (also called Liquoroso Dry) versions have an alcohol content of 17,5% vol. If the Liquorosos are matured for two years, they may be called Riserva.
