DOC for sweet white wine in the wine-growing region of Apulia in Italy. The zone includes the communes of Andria, Barletta, Bisceglie, Bitonto, Canosa di Puglia, Corato, Minervino Murge, Ruvo di Puglia, Terlizzi and Trani in the province of Bari, as well as the communes of Cerignola and Trinitapoli in the province of Foggia. Sweet white wine has been produced here since ancient times. The yellow-gold Dolce Naturale is made from Moscato di Trani = Moscato di Reale (85-100%) and optionally from other Moscato varieties (up to 15%). It has a minimum alcohol content of 14,5% vol, and must be matured for 5 months. A minimum alcohol content of 18% vol as well as maturation for one year are prescribed for the Naturale Liquroroso.
