DOC for sweet white Spumante on the island of Sardinia off the coast of Italy. The zone includes the entire island, however the wine is produced primarily in the Anglona and Gallura mountains in the north. It is made from Moscato Bianco (90-100%), as well as optionally from other permitted white varieties (up to 10%). A few communes in the Gallura area in the provinces of Nuoro and Sassari are permitted to state the sub-zone designations Tempio, Tempio Pausania or Gallura on the label.
