DOC for a wide range of red and whiote wines in the Veneto wine-growing region in Italy. The zone includes the entire commune of Monfumo, as well as parts of the communes of Asolo, Caerano di San Marco, Castelcucco, Cavaso del Tomba, Cornuda, Crocetta del Montello, Fonte, Giavera del Montello, Maser, Montebelluna, Nervesa della Battaglia, Paderno del Grappa, Pederobba, Possagno, San Zenone degli Ezzelini and Volpago del Montello in the province of Treviso. The varietal-labelled wines must contain a minimum of 85% of the stated variety, the balance can be made up of other permitted grape varieties of the same colour. The varietal wines are Cabernet Superiore (Cabernet Franc and/or Cabernet Sauvignon), Chardonnay (also made as a Spumante), Merlot (also made as a Superiore), Pinot Bianco (also made as a Spumante), Pinot Grigio and Prosecco (also made as Frizzante and Spumante). The Rosso (also made as a Superiore) is a blend made from Merlot (40-60%), Cabernet Franc (20-30%), Cabernet Sauvignon (10-20%), as well as optionally from other permitted red varieties (up to 15%).
