Top wines in Domain Montefalco Rosso DOC

DOC for red and white wines in the wine-growing region of Umbria in Italy. The zone includes the entire commune of Montefalco, as well as parts of the communes of Bevagna, Castel Ritaldi, Giano dell´Umbria and Gualdo Cattaneo in the province of Perugia. The Bianco is a blend made from Grechetto (50-80%), Trebbiano Toscano (20-35%), as well as optionally from other permitted white varieties (up to 30%). The Rosso is a blend made from Sangiovese (60-70%), Sagrantino (10-15%), as well as optionally from other permitted red varieties (up to 30%). If matured for 30 months, and with a minimum alcohol content of 12,5% vol it may be called a Riserva. See alsu under Montefalco Sagrantino.
