Latium

DOC (also sometimes called Montecompatri or Colonna) for white wine in the wine-growing region of Latium in Italy. The zone has a total vineyard area of 250 hectares, and is located in the north-east of the large region Castelli Romani. It includes the communes of Colonna and Montecompatri, from which the name i staken, as well as Rocca Priora and Zagarolo in the Roma province. The white wine is available in Secco, Amabile and Dolce versions, and is usually a blend made from any combination of the following varieties: Trebbiano Toscano, Trebbiano Giallo and Trebbiano Verde (30-100%), Malvasia Bianca di Candie (up to 70%), as well as Bellone and Bonvino (up to 10%). There is also a Frizzante, available in Amabile and Dolce versions. The wines are similar to those of the DOC Frascati.
