The varietal wines are Barbera, Cabernet (Cabernet Franc and/or Cabernet Sauvignon and/or Carmenère), Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay (also made as a Spumante), Cortese, Corvina, Garganega, Marzemino, Merlot, Pinot Bianco (also made as a Spumante), Pinot Grigio, Pinot Nero, Riesling (also made as a Spumante), Riesling Italico, Sauvignon and Tocai. The rosé is a blend similar to the Classico Rosso (see below). The Frizzante is made from Chardonnay and/or Garganega (minimum of 85%) and optionally from other permitted varieties (up to 15%). Wines from the shores of Lake Garda, which is part of the Brescia region, may carry the additional designation Classico on the label. The Classico Bianco is made from Pinot Bianco (minimum of 85%), as well as from other permitted white varieties (up to 15%). Classico Rosso (also made as a Superiore) and Classico Chiaretto (dark rosé) are blends made from any combination of the Groppello variants Gentile, San Stefano and Mocasina (30-85%), Sangiovese, Marzemio and Barbera (5-60% of each), as well as from other permitted red varieties (up to 10%).
