Apulia

DOC for dry red, rosé and white wines in the wine-growing region of Apulia in Italy. The zone includes the communes of Aradeo, Collepasso, Cutrofiano, Galatina, Neviano, Secli and Sogliano Cavour in the province of Lecce. Varietal-labelled wines, Negroamaro (also made as a Riserva, matured for two years) and Chardonnay must contain a minimum of 85% of the stated variety, the remainder may be made up of other permitted varieties of the same colour. The Bianco (also available as a Frizzante) is made from Chardonnay (55-100%) with the optional addition of other permitted white varieties (up to 45%). Rosato (also made as a Frizzante) and Rosso are made from Negroamaro (65-100%) as well as from other permitted red varieties (up to 35%).
