Cortese dell'Alto Monferrato DOC

DOC for dry white wine in the wine-growing region of Piemonte in Italy. The zone includes a large part of the hilly landscape of Alto Monferrato in 35 communes of the province of Asti and 51 communes in the province of Alessandria. The wine is made from the Cortese grape (85-100%), as well as optionally from other permitted white varieties (up to 15%). Frizzante and Spumante versions are also produced.
