DOC for dry red and rosé wine in the wine-growing region of Apulia in Italy. The zone includes parts of the communes of Arnesano, Copertino, Galatina, Lequile and Monteroni di Lecce in the province of Lecce. Rosso and Rosato are made from Negroamaro (70-100%), as well as optionally from Malvasia Nera di Brindisi, Malvasia Nera die Lecce, Montepulciano and Sangiovese (up to 30%). If it has a minimum alcohol content of 12,5% vol, and has been matured fort wo years, the Rosso may be called a Riserva.
