DOC for dry red and white wines in the Emilia-Romagna wine-growing region in Italy. The zone includes the communes of Brisighella, Casola Valsenio, Castel Bolognese, Faenza and Riolo Terme in the province of Ravenna, as well as the communes of Modigliana and Tredozio in the province of Forlì-Cesena. The varietal-labelled wines Pinot Bianco, Sangiovese (also made as a Riserva) and Trebbiano are 100% pure varietal wines. The Bianco is a blend made from Chardonnay (40-60%), as well as from any of the following: Pignoletto, Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon and Trebbiano Romagnolo (60-40%). The Rosso (also made as a Riserva) is made from Cabernet Sauvignon (40-60%), as well as from any of the following: Ancellotta, Ciliegiolo, Merlot and Sangiovese (60-40%).
